i have understood the brief for my coursework the only thing i am not sure of is the objectives for the preliminary task we where given so i decided to do some research on match on action, shot reverse shot and the 180 degree rule.

match on action
match on action is a type of film editing that cuts and connects two different views of the same action at the same moment in the movement. It carefully matches matches the movement across the two shots, when filmmakers use this they make it seem unedited. For a proper match on action shot, the action should begin in the first shot and end in the second shot.

Shot 1: In this shot, we see the person beginning to get up from a sitting position The arrow indicates the person's direction of motion.




Shot 2: There is a cut to this shot, which shows the person finishing standing up. The main difference from shot 1 to shot 2 is the position of the camera.
